🐐 I, Pet Goat II — Does It Point to E-goat?

What if the goat was never just a goat?

I, Pet Goat II begins with one of the film's most disturbing images: a goat trapped behind wire, marked on its forehead with a barcode and 666, before the story explodes into a surreal mixture of war, politics, religion, technology and apocalyptic symbolism.

The title itself points back to The Pet Goat, the children's story George W. Bush was reading on September 11, 2001, when he was informed that the second plane had hit the World Trade Center.

🐐 The Goat as a Marker

The symbolism becomes difficult to ignore when the goat is viewed through the biblical image of the sheep and the goats, the barcode suggests identification, and 666 immediately evokes the biblical language of the mark of the beast.

Whether these connections were intended literally is another question, but the combination creates a powerful image: the human being inside a system, identified, watched and increasingly connected to technology.

👁️ And Then Comes E-goat

More than a decade later, the world described by science fiction is moving rapidly toward reality: artificial intelligence, digital identity, biometrics, digital money, robotics, surveillance and even technology designed to connect directly with the human brain.

This is where the symbol becomes interesting for E-goat.

E-goat — the Electronic Goat — is not a prediction and not a claim that the film revealed a secret plan. It is an observer of the digital system that is now taking shape around us.

⚡ The Marker Remains

Bush. Obama. Trump. The goat. The barcode. 666. Technology. Power.

Perhaps these are simply symbols inside an extraordinary animated film. Perhaps some became meaningful only after events occurred. Or perhaps the real story is not prediction at all, but the way symbols prepare us to recognize a changing world.

The goat was inside the cage.
Today, the cage may look very different.

🐐 E-goat is watching.
The question is no longer what the goat means, but what the system around it is becoming.
